Things You Can Do To Help

We solicit your help as a parent, grandparent or friend to help make a difference at our school. Listed below are ways that you can help out. You may already shop at these places and use many of the products listed below, so it won’t be an added burden. Please take the time to read over this list and try to help our school.

Target Credit Card – When you apply for a Target credit card you can designate our school to receive a percentage of total sales. If you already have a Target credit card, just call the number on the back of your card to designate our school. A percentage of all sales associated with our school is returned to us in cash.

Kroger Gift Card – Apply for a Kroger gift card by filling out an application through the school. Make check payable to FCA and the school will purchase the initial card for you. You then use the card for all purchases made at any Kroger’s store. You can put additional money on your card at any Kroger’s customer service counter or at the register, any time. A total of 4% of all purchases goes to our school (including gas).

Clip & collect Box Tops from participating companies. You can turn these into the school at anytime during the year. We send those in twice during the school year, October and February. We will also have a Box Top drive in January. You may also register at www.boxtops4education.com to receive coupons and enter sweepstakes to benefit the school.

Office Depot has a back-to-school program that will generate gift cards for our school to use. When you make a purchase at Office Depot just ask to have the purchase applied to FCA’s school number (You do this at the register). If the purchase is eligible, we will get a percentage of the purchase. They will issue us a gift card when we accumulate $10.

Participate in School Spirit Nights at various restaurants. We have various school nights throughout the year at restaurants such as Culvers and Brewsters. A percentage of sales will be given to our school in cash.

The school has an aluminum can recycle bin called the Falcon Recycler. Bring your cans to school at any time and we will unload them in the recycling bin. A can drive will be held during the month of February.

Each year we sell discount cards to the public. We have chosen to use the Smart Card this year. The sale of these cards enable our students to attend many field trips throughout the year. We will begin selling these as soon as school is in session.

The Fall Festival (September 24th) will need volunteers of all ages to help collect donations, serve food, help with games and many other things.

The Chili Supper and Auction is scheduled for November 5th.

The Spring Dinner is held each Spring and volunteers can be used for this event also.

Come and shop at our annual Scholastic Book Fair which is to be held in March. The teachers and library will have a wish list of books that you can choose to purchase for the classroom.

Join our Friends and Teacher’s Organization (FTO) to keep informed of all the activities that are going on during the school year. We will have periodic meetings throughout the year to bring you up to date on events and how you can help support our teachers and school. You can be involved in our school in many ways. We have a long list of jobs just waiting for you!!!

Ways to Donate to FCA

FCA is grateful to our generous donors. There are several ways that donations have been and are being made. Some have donated:

Bequests (we are thankful for the friends of FCA who have included us in their wills)

Thank you for considering a donation to FCA. If you desire, you may specify where the proceeds/money should be used e.g. scholarships, indebtedness, daily operation, gymnasium fundraising, etc.

ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS

Endowed Scholarships

One of the nicest ways to remember a loved one or to honor someone special is an endowed scholarship. Through the scholarship, they will perpetually touch the lives of others for good. A picture and biographical sketch is sent to the scholarship recipient each year so they can know something about their benefactor.

Financial aid is necessary for some parents, especially single parents, in order to enroll their child/children at FCA. Our financial aid through endowed scholarships continues to grow.

An endowed scholarship requires $10,000. It can be paid all at one time or over a 5 year period. This amount generates $500 in interest annually and is awarded to a needy student.

OWN A BRICK

Own a Brick

FCA has a beautiful brickyard that encircles the school sign and flagpole. Many have purchased an engraved brick in honor or in memory of someone special. The standard brick is 5 1/2 inches by 8 3/4 inches and cost $50.00. The double bricks measure 11 inches by 8 3/4 inches and costs $100.00.

This is a thoughtful way to remember someone special and to also help children obtain a Christian education. Please feel free to visit the brickyard at anytime. It is impressive to see what has been done for those who have ingratiated themselves to others.

Your affiliation with this school has brought new experiences, new friends and new knowledge that will make a lasting impression in your life. Now it's time to make a lasting impression on our school. You now have the opportunity to place a personalized brick in the new courtyard.
